School of Rock
Few movies can make me smile like this one. It's a warm comedy about how a group of music prodigies at a posh private school, forget the everyday pressures of adolescence when they encounter a substitute teacher with a powerful passion for rock n roll music. The teacher (Jack Black, in a tailor made role) has a hidden agenda though. He ignores the regular curriculum in favor of molding the children into the successful rock band he has always dreamed of being in. One of my favorite scenes involves Black leading the children into an impromptu rock anthem once he realizes their potential. This is feel good movie with a ripping classic rock soundtrack.

Only Meatloaf could pull this off so well. It comes so naturally to him to break the law or bend the rules (in a good way)for something he's so passionate about. My favorite scene was the finale, Meatloaf is one of the few people that could surf the crowd and then make it back up onto the stage.
ReplyDeleteThe movie is very fun and Jack Black made an excellent performance.I did not expect so much with this movie and I took a great surprise.
